What is "en plein air"?

En plein air is a French expression meaning “in the open air”, and refers to the act of painting outdoors with the artist's subject in full view.

We envisage artists of all levels to participating in small groups scattered around the town sketching and/or painting the beauty and movement of Kapunda. This may include buildings, groups of people, public art each other.

How you can participate:

We will meet at the Kapunda Gallery in Main Street at 9:30am and then head of in different directions (dependent on numbers) with a guide. BYO your own materials.
