The combined exhibition of work by students of Kapunda High School and Kapunda Primary School will be opened at Kapunda Community Gallery by the art teacher Mr Stuart Hoerisch on November 15.
Years 6/7 work is, as always, delightful. Ms Conway’s class have a theme of Kapunda Heritage buildings, presented in sketches and facades in collage. Ms Kershaw’s class have created circle work inspired by Kandinsky’s painting, using coloured pencil, crayon and paint. There are some free choice art works.
Moderation for Year 12 will be on November 15. High School students work is always interesting in their observations and interpretations of the world around them into a work of art: confronting, moving, humorous and often reflecting the social and emotional challenges they meet in the transition from childhood to adulthood. Some good talent here, with skilled and perceptive work from many students.
Unfortunately this year the exhibition will run only for two weeks, from November 16 to December 2.
