This exhibition was opened by the Deputy Mayor, Deane Rohrlach. The works were judged by the internationally renowned wild life artist Roger Murcott.
Open to all artists, the Summer Exhibition has a wide range of subject and media among the seventy seven entries. First prize was awarded to Melissa Claridge for an oil painting “Summer Night”.
Second prize was awarded to Maxine Donald for a watercolour painting “Bungaree Woolshed” and third prize to Jenny Bastians for an acrylic painting “Tidal Flat at Lucky Bay”.
Merits were awarded to Colleen Tooth for an oil painting “Baby Elephant” and to June Cooper for a watercolour painting “Morning Mist, Upper Hunter Valley, NSW”.
This is a lovely exhibition, the diversity in style and subject offering something to appeal to everyone.
