SUMMER OPEN EXHIBITION

9th of December 2012 to the 27th of January 2013

The Kapunda Community Gallery's annual Summer Exhibition was opened on Sunday, the 9th of December by Country Arts SA Visual Arts Coordinator, Katinka Bracker.

The works were judged by Rob Johnston, printmaker and retired CASA Visual Arts Manager.
He also attended the opening and together with Katinka, presentedthe winning artists with their prizes.

Jenny Bastians, Pauline Campbell and Pat Low were awarded first, second and third respectively.  Maxine Donald and Suzanne Olds received merit awards.

The twenty six artists exhibiting work are from Kapunda, Barossa, Gawler, Clare and the Riverland. Media of watercolour, gouache, oil, textile, pastel, pen, pencil, and photography, were used to create works in a wide range of subjects and styles.

Amongst these works there are some real gems. The exhibition is also open on New Year's Day.
