This exhibition features many aspects and interpretations of rural and domestic life from backyard chickens, native birds, still life and flora, to waterways and forest. A series of oil paintings resulting from a recent trip along the Canning Stock Route is of historical and geographical interest
The Truro Art Group is an informal group, under the guidance of Ron Brook, each member working in their favourite medium and chosen subject. While individual members of the Truro Art Group have been exhibiting their work for many years, it wasn’t until 2009 that they began to exhibit as a group. Since then they have exhibited successfully in other galleries in the Mid North, Gawler and the Hills.
Overall, much of their work depicts the local area, but as many have travelled around the state, Australia and overseas their works are drawn from these experiences and observations. The exhibition was opened by Malcolm Craig on April 14th at 3:00pm and runs until May 12th.
